The "M" family's session was wonderful!  It always is - we've been working with them for a few years now and normally have their furry family member in their family session, but this time we had their new little bundle instead!

Again, with this crazy weather.  We were fighting the rain that morning, so we were super worried about having to reschedule, but the rain held out for us.  The traffic, however, did not!  We got stuck in traffic for almost an hour - sitting still!  We eventually made it to their session location (which was a beautiful place!) and got some sweet shots, even with the humidity!

Quick Tip Tuesday - DIY Huge Number Props

 Another post in a fun, weekly series that we hope to keep rolling!  Each Tuesday we'll post a new quick business tip for prop making, marketing, lighting or some other tidbit that might help you out!  Even if you're not a photographer, you might still find something to apply to your field of business that may save you time or money :)

This week's quick tip:

DIY Huge Number Props!

Cardboard is your friend!  Really!  There are so many uses and re-uses for cardboard!  I use cardboard that my lab ships orders in to make big numbers for birthday sessions at my studio!  You can paint it any color you like and they are super easy to make.  I simply picked my favorite font, used my projector to project it onto the cardboard, traced the outline, then cut it out.  Add a coat of paint and done :)

Davis is Two-dles! { child photographers winston salem }

 

Oh my, is Davis two already?  Not just two, but two-dles?

I always love seeing this little guy and his family - he is the sweetest and always behaves super good for me!  I don't even have to bribe him!  He's changed a lot since his last session - he's looking more and more grown up!

I've been working with his family for a long time and it's a joy to see them on my schedule - every session always goes well and we get the sweetest images!  I had them in the studio a week prior to Davis turning two-dles for a newborn session with their newest little addition - and she was super sweet, too!  This family is so blessed with sweetness :)

Grand-babies { family photographers winston-salem nc }

I had so much fun working with the "R" family - we had the pleasure of visiting their beautiful home to capture some shots of them with their grand-babies!  I had worked with their daughter for several sessions and already met some of the kiddos, so I got to meet the rest of the family for this session.  Their gorgeous landscaping was so lovely that I had to use it as my backdrop for some of their images.  

We've had some crazy weather this Summer, and their session date was no different.  The sky was overcast and the rain was coming but we were lucky enough to beat it by maybe five minutes.  I loved working with this family, and these little ones, too!

Little Luke { newborn photographers in winston-salem nc }

Little Luke proved us wrong!  When we are scheduling newborn sessions, we always prefer capturing newbies in their first two weeks of life, as they are usually way sleepier and more likely to tolerate handling.  However, Luke came in exactly three weeks after birth and this little dude slept the whole time!  

Little Luke was super sweet to us and made our job so easy that morning.  He was such a pleasure to spend the morning with, and we had a blast working with his parents :)

Dominic's 6 Month Session { baby photographers winston salem }

Dominic was the sweetest, happiest little guy!  He came in for his six month session and was all smiles - I mean, seriously, this little guy rocked a smile in EVERY shot!  

He was giggly and his smiles were contagious - I smiled the whole time I was editing his session, and of course, I'm smiling now :)  He loved coughs - fake silly coughs made him giggle, and show us how silly he could cough, too!

Baby Thatcher is here! { winston salem newborn photography }

Baby Thatcher's newborn session was a blast!  This little heart-breaker stayed awake the WHOLE, entire time - but didn't make a peep!  He was the happiest, most content and alert little guy we've ever had that was that young!  

Thatcher had way better things to do than go to sleep for pictures!  There were too many other interesting things going on in the studio and so many new things to look at to have time for that!  He was a mega sweetheart and was super good to us!
