Baby Kenny is One...

I can't believe Baby Kenny is one already!  We've loved seeing this sweet boy and watching him grow throughout his first year on our baby plan!  This little guy is always so quiet and cheerful and reserved when he comes in, and his mom always sneaks in his tractor for a shot or two at each session :)  He has so many cute and funny expressions that he gives me, this time there were two that just killed me - there was a super bored, why me expression, and then there was one shot where he just posed himself and his little legs all perfect for an uber cute shot and waited for me to click the shutter!

Baby Kenny had a Mickey Mouse themed birthday / one year session and brought his Mickey along, and also brought his cousin along who helped me try to make him giggle, and sneaked in for a quick shot with him at the end of the session.

Archer's Cake Smash { winston salem }

 





Baby Archer's Cake Smash...

Baby Archer loved playing with his cake!  His mom brought him to our studio for his one year session / cake smash and this had been the first time we'd seen him since doing his newborn session, and he has developed such a sweet and happy personality!  Archer smiled basically every time he looked up from playing in his cake!

Baby Archer's theme was red and blue / Cat in the Hat.  His mom brought a cute little diaper cover with suspenders and a hat which we sneaked in for a couple of shots.  We coordinated a striped banner with teal and red balloons and some paper lanterns.  Archer really enjoyed himself and made some of the cutest faces!

Sutton's Cake Smash { winston salem nc }

Sutton Destroys her Snowflake Cake!
First off, the year went by so quickly - we got to watch little Sutton grow closely as she came in for each monthly session in her baby plan.  We did all kinds of themes for her monthly sessions, from video gaming to beach and then to snowflake - which if you know me and how much I LOVE snow, you will understand why this one is my favorite.

We hung Christmas lights and snowflakes in the background of the set for Sutton's snowflake themed cake smash session and her mom brought a beautiful snowflake cake from Lily Cakes.  I wasn't sure if Sutton would like the cake on her hands or not, but she shocked us all by diving right in and having a blast making a mess in the studio!  She smiled and giggled and even took the easy way of eating by face planting into the cake and biting it that way.  We laughed so hard and it's hard to believe that she's already one, but we sure will miss seeing this sweet little girl every month!

Joshua's Cake Smash { winston-salem nc }

 


Little Joshua smashes his cake!
Little Joshua came to the studio for his cake smash session and his big brother, Jonathan, came along for a couple of shots and to watch the excitement unfold.  These guys were both so fun to work with!  Jonathan was an awesome little helper at making his brother smile and helping him get messy!

Joshua came in dressed in a cute little outfit with suspenders for a few "clean" shots before letting him have at it.  Then his mom changed him into a super cute diaper cover and tie that matched the set perfectly!  Joshua's color scheme was blue and red with polka dots - oh my goodness, this is one of my most favorite set-ups ever!  The colors were vibrant and beautiful, the set looked amazing and Joshua got lots of cake all over him, and didn't mind at all!  Happy birthday, Joshua! :)

Spencer's Cake Smash { winston salem }

 

Spencer destroys her cake...

I can't believe it's been a year since doing Spencer's mom's maternity session and shortly after, meeting little Spencer for the first time (you might remember her newborn session here).  

Spencer is growing up fast, already walking and that hair - oh my goodness, she is the cutest with that little curl falling in her face!

Spencer's mom and I planned for a colorful cake smash set and it turned out perfect!  Spencer was SO funny when we got to the actual cake smashing.  When we first sat the cake down in front of her, she scooted back - as far away as she could get from the cake!  Haha.  We slid her over back over to the cake again, and once she got a quick taste of it, she was all about it's yumminess, although she would occasionally stop playing in it long enough to look up at her parents and make sure that it was OKAY to do it.  She was even for getting handfuls of icing and smearing it in her hair :)

Baby Kenny's 6 Month Session { winston salem photographers }

 



Baby Kenny is 6 months already!

Oh my goodness.  Could Baby Kenny possibly get any cuter?  Ah!  He has the sweetest little smile and the happiest personality to go along with it!  I love seeing my little baby plan clients on their milestones and watching their personalities develop.  All babies are so different - they change so much in the first year and by six months, they already are showing their personality - some are shy and reserved, some are outgoing and smiley (AHEM), some are serious and just take everything in.

Baby Kenny smiled at our antics of trying to keep him entertained and loved the flokati fur rug!  He was cool with multiple outfit changes and didn't fuss a bit.  Each of his parents brought a prop to use in a shot of something that was meaningful and important to them - his mom brought a tractor and his dad brought a calculator!  They are the coolest and most laid back couple and super easy to work with - I think Baby Kenny is so happy and outgoing because he got a bit of that from both sides :)
