An Afternoon with Another Sweet Family...

We loved seeing this sweet family again for their Fall/Christmas family session!  We've been working with them since their maternity session for their first beautiful little girl "S", throughout the birth of their second equally gorgeous little girl "A" and now it was time for some updated family portraits!

We met this sweet family at Old Salem on a chilly afternoon, but the sun was warm and the leaves were falling, and the session turned out golden  :)

Blake's Location Session { winston salem }

Blake's Fall Location Session...

We had a blast working with little Blake and her mom for her annual Fall session!  Fall is her mom's favorite time of year and we always plan for a Fall session outdoors for Blake - this being our third year working with them.  Blake has been SO very shy in the past and never talked to us, but this time she finally opened up and laughed at us, giggled with us and talked to us about all kinds of fun things from animals to school, to getting a boo boo on her toe haha.  Blake's images turned out gorgeous - and we can't wait to see them again next year  :)

The "M" Family { christmas sessions winston-salem }

The "M" Family's Fall/Christmas Session...

We spent the evening with the "M" family shooting their Fall and Christmas session and caught some amazing light and wonderful weather!  We've been working with this sweet family for quite some time, the first time we met them was for Cydney's 9 month session!  She's grown so much and still as sweet as ever, as is her mom and dad, too!  We always love to see the "M" family - they are so laid back and easy to work with!  

At the end of the session, we sneaked back to the bridge to take a selfie together under the stars and Momma "M" caught us, and took a shot of us together for us!  I so cherish that shot - and I cherish having the opportunity to work with families like the "M" family!  :)

Peyten's Fall Session { winston salem baby photographer }

Peyten's Fall Session...

Last December, we met little Peyten and his sweet mom when we did his cake smash session at our studio.  He was so cute and had the biggest dimples and not much hair (you might remember him here).  I about hit the grass when I saw these two a few weeks ago and Peyten had RED HAIR to go with those adorable dimples!  Oh my goodness.  He kills me!  He was so sweet and had a blast playing with bubbles in the grass, and he loved his hat!  It was fun spending the evening with them - the sky was cloudy and it was quite windy - I think we had the outer edge of a hurricane passing through - but it didn't stop Peyten and his mom from enjoying their session and giggling the entire time!

I'm not normally big on shooting black and white images, because I love nature and the colors that life offers us.  I love for my images to reflect how I'm seeing things through my lens.  But I have to admit, I fell in love with this shot of Peyten and his mom in black and white.  There is so much feeling and emotion in it as a black and white image  :)

The "W" Family { pet & family photographers winston salem }

The "W" Family, and Chunky and Piggly...
We met the "W" family at Old Salem for an early morning session to try to beat the hot, summer heat, but it didn't work.  It was a super hot day, even at 10:00 am!  We scheduled their session to not only to capture them as a family with their furry family members, but Chunky is fighting cancer, so we wanted to make sure to spend some time capturing memories of that sweet guy for them to have forever.  It was a fun session!  Chunky and Piggly were so behaved, especially being in a new place with tons of new people, new scents, and of course, right outside of a restaurant, haha.  These boys did so good and so did their little sister, Avery!  We loved seeing the "W" family again and spending the morning with all of them  :)
