 I drafted this post a while back and just realized that I forgot to publish it!

An awesome cake smash with this little handsome fellow for his one year session, with a fun, colorful set and a gorgeous cake. That ended up totally flat. I mean, seriously, this little guy literally smashed his cake. Flat. As a pancake. Hilarious! I was dying. Laughing hard at him, and he was laughing hard about it, too. And I have to say, he seemed so proud at the end of the session at what his cake had become. And the mess he'd made for us :-)

Squishy Smiles & Giggles { winston-salem newborn photographer }

 

 Oh.  My.  Goodness.

The sweet squishy smiles and giggles I shared with this little handsome man and his mommy.  He slept through the WHOLE session.  The WHOLE session.  He was so good to us and let us tuck, pose, stuff, adjust him.  Without making a peep at all!

And he smiled so much!  What a happy little guy!  He even posed for a quick shot with his two big sisters!  Love!

A pretty mama & cherry blossoms... { maternity photographers in winston-salem, nc }

 

 I have to chat about this sweet maternity photography session. 

 

It was a fun challenge for us! We shot the majority of the session in our studio using only available natural light - no flash and no studio lighting - and I shot with my new 70-200 L series lens. I had to stand all the way on the far wall against the fireplace in the waiting area and shoot through the french doors of the studio to get full bodies in the frame! But the shots turned out so gorgeous - we shot everything inside in black and white only, but I was able to convince my client to let me do a couple of color shots outdoors. Our ornamental cherry tree was in FULL bloom and covered in fluffy pink blossoms, and this pretty mama-to-be is having a girl, so I thought the light, her clothing and the fluffy pink blooms would be super fitting and feminine  :) 

 

I'm so happy with how her session turned out!
