This is little Carter!  He was such a sweet and tiny little guy!  We loved meeting his parents and working with them on his newborn session - they were so easy to work with!  Baby Carter snacked, was swaddled, and then was out for the rest of the session.  We chose neutrals and blues to match his nursery and he totally rocked a little bowtie!  This awesome little man even gave us a smile for the very last shot!

Halloween Food Drive and Open House - Results

Every year, we celebrate Halloween with a fun charity food drive at our studio - this is our 8th year - and it's the best so far! :-)  We loved seeing old clients and catching up, and meeting new clients and seeing all the costumes!  

Last year, we collected 217 total items for the food pantry at East Stokes Outreach Ministry! Oh my goodness, I am so happy to say that our final count came to 470 items!  That is over double what we've collected in previous years!  We are so grateful to have the caring clients that we have and are so excited to have the opportunity to do this event every year for East Stokes Outreach Ministry.  You guys are so amazing and I can't thank each and every one of you enough for caring about the community and participating in our event this year!

We're currently working on emailing images this morning and are getting them out as quick as we can.  All of the food has been sorted and dropped off at the food pantry and they were so happy to see us!  Look for an email from us in late Winter/early Spring for our Annual Pet Food Drive which will also benefit East Stokes Outreach Ministry.  We hope to see you again!

2015 Christmas Mini Sessions { winston salem }

Join us this holiday season for your choice of sets!  
We're doing things a little different this year - instead of one set all season long, we have two sets on specific dates!  Each set has limited availability and can only be booked on the dates listed below.

Set One - Winter Wonderland
An over the top snowy woodland scene with paper trees and faux snow floor, topped with faux falling snow!  This set is casual - we recommend dressing your child in festive colors, holiday plaids and fun accessories such as boots and scarves.
November 5th-7th
November 19th-21st
December 10th-12th

 Set Two - Golden Twilight 
This set is designed for a more formal portrait, keeping things simple with shades of creams and golds, using minimal props. We recommend dressing your child in neutral colors such as khakis, creams or formal holiday dress wear.
November 12th-14th
December 3rd-5th

*Session Fee is $35.00 for one child for a 20 minute “mini” session. 
Please add $5 for each additional child in the same session.
*Prints and products not included and are purchased separately.
 Recommended ages 6 months (sitting up unassisted) to 6 years.

{ HOLIDAY DEADLINES } 

*NO Christmas sessions will be booked after Saturday, December 12th! No exceptions. We have to allow ourselves time for editing, designing, ordering and catching up to make sure everyone's orders are back for Christmas.  Please take this into consideration when booking your session.  We will still happily book newborn and regular sessions, but Christmas themed minis will end on the 12th and Christmas delivery will not be possible for ANY sessions booked after December 12th.

*Custom Framing must be ordered no later than November 25th to ensure delivery on or before Christmas.
*Fine Art Canvas Gallery Wraps must be ordered by Saturday, December 5th.
*Holiday cards DO take a couple of days for creation, editing, proofing and making changes, etc., especially during busy times, such as the holidays. These designs HAVE TO BE FINALIZED and sent to print by Wednesday, December 16th in order to get them back before Christmas. 
*Prints and mounted prints must be ordered by Wednesday, December 16th in order to get them back before Christmas. 

The studio will be open for pick-ups (by appointment only) through Wednesday, December 23rd at 5pm, and then we will be closed throughout the holidays and will not reopen until Monday, January 4th, 2016.

8th Annual Halloween Food Drive & Open House Event

Every year, we celebrate Halloween with a fun charity food drive at our studio - this is our 8th year! We're super excited to be able to do it again and can't wait to see what our little clients come dressed as this year :-)

Last year, we collected 217 total items for the food pantry at East Stokes Outreach Ministry! But, this year we want to collect even more! Please invite and bring your friends and share our information to get the word out so that we can collect as much food as possible during this event!

Bring your child or pet to our studio on Halloween evening to our Open House and Food Drive in their Halloween costume, enjoy snacks and drinks, grab a goodie bag, pose for a quick photo and receive a free digital image emailed to you!

**THE CATCH?** We're requiring you to bring a minimum of TWO BAGS of food PER CHILD to be donated to East Stokes Outreach Ministry. More than two bags are not required, but would be happily and gratefully accepted :)
Can be cans, boxes, bags, but please NO out-of-date food!
Dog food and cat food is also needed!

With your help, we can make a difference and knock out hunger!

Declan's Cake Smash { winston salem }

 

I can't believe a year has past already since shooting Declan's newborn session!  How did that happen?  We've been working with Declan's sweet family for a few years now, and finally had the opportunity to capture them as a family!  Their family images came out so gorgeous - the light was beautiful in the park that morning, and the colors are so alive!  Bonus, Declan had a cake smash at the end of the session!

Oh my goodness.  Outdoor cake smashes are so much fun!  Way messier, yes, but I loved how colorful Declan's turned out!  This little guy was so funny - he had no plans to put his hands in the cake, but he was all for eating it with silverware!  That's the first time I've ever seen that happen!  Too cute!   :)

Autumn is here, the leaves are changing, the loveliness of pumpkin spice everything fills the air no matter where you go and everything is all about Fall right now!  Book your family session to be shot during the week of October 20th - 24th and receive a FREE set of 25 custom designed Christmas cards (an $85.00 value!)!  Plus, receive half off additional sets of 25 cards!

Your session fee includes time for an outfit change, so feel free to bring another outfit to switch into for variety in your images.

Session Fee is just $100 and includes a full one hour session for unlimited family members (pets welcome!) and travel to a location of your choice in the Triad.

Owen turns three! { child photography winston salem }

My buddy, Owen is three!  We met Owen and his mom at a local park and the weather was so lovely, it was a cooler morning, so we were able to roam around without getting too hot.  Owen loved looking for the playground and squirrels, and he carried as many nuts and acorns as he could to give to them.  He has great eyes - even though we were not even close to the playground, somehow he spotted it through the trees!  We even found a baby tree, which looked so much like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree.  

Owen was super literal, which made me giggle, and when my husband told him to say "I love candy" real loud, he literally said, "I love candy real loud" haha!  When we finished the session, his mom said, "Tell them thank you, Owen" and I was so expecting him to say, "Thank you Owen"!  He has some of the cutest expressions that I was able to capture this time!  Owen is a sweetheart and we enjoy seeing him and his family each time they book a session with us :)
