I just love Crystal and Lily.  She came in for the first time in 2012 and we just clicked immediately!  We both have tiny dogs and we have so much in common!  Lily is a sweetheart, too - at first, she was shy around us and wouldn't come to us, but now she comes right to us and jumps up for us to hold her :)

We met at Tanglewood for this session - it is really lovely in the summer.  It was super HOT and humid for the session, but you would never know from looking at their gorgeousness.  We've done a lot of sessions with Crystal and Lily (Valentine's Day, Hot Chocolate, Winter Wonderland, Spring, Summer, Winter) and this has to be my most favorite of them all.  Everything turned out perfect (aside from the heat!) and the colors are so pretty.  Love!

I've really enjoyed getting to know these two over the past couple of years, and I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of their family later this Fall to do a family session!

Halloween Mini Sessions { winston salem child photographers }

Are we already planning Halloween? Yes! This whole year has gone by too fast!

This year we're offering a special day of minis to capture your little goblin in their Halloween costume with two special all-inclusive packages to choose from!

Each package includes your session fee, a number of digital negatives with full printing rights and an online gallery to share with friends and family.

Rather have prints instead? No problem! Just book as a session instead of a package and you'll pay your session fee at the time of your session, then order your prints separately per usual.

 

We only have (8) 20 minute mini session spots available, and many different backdrops are available to coordinate with your little ghoul's costume this year.

Miss J is Two! { child photographers in winston salem nc }

 

I loved designing the set for Miss J's two year birthday session!  Her mom and I planned for months, and she wanted to go with corals, peaches, pinks and mint (my favorite colors!), and I stumbled on a fun, mint fabric at the local fabric store that inspired the shabby chic set!  I made the bunting and matching headband, and my husband covered a super cute ottoman for the session.  I am in love with how gorgeous and minty it all turned out!

I always enjoy working with J and her mom, and love her mom's crafty ideas and planning with her in advance (you might remember her cake smash here).  And I was shocked when after a few minutes of walking around to get used to the studio, J kept saying "snow" and "snowman" - she remembered coming in for our Christmas Minis last year and the snowman that we had on the backdrop!  She was only around 15 months old at the time - and she remembered the snow!  I still can't get over how smart she is!  And gorgeous, she just gets cuter every time she comes in!

Baby D { newborn photographers in winston salem }

I had a blast working with the A family on their tiny bundle's newborn session!  We've been working with them for a couple of years now, so I was super excited to meet this little guy!

He was a sleepy little fellow, and uber handsome, and loved cuddling on the furs.  We did lots of different hats, backdrops and set-ups, with our shots spanning all the way from bright and cheery to warm and neutral. I am in love with the colorful hat his mom brought for the session - I have to find one of those for the studio! 

His big sister came to the session, and she did SO good being patient and holding him for a couple of shots!

The M Maternity Session { maternity photographers in winston salem nc }

 

I'm always excited to get the opportunity to go to a new location.  Don't get me wrong, I love working in the studio and being able to control the lighting, but it is always fun to have a new challenge, such as shooting on the top of a mountain in the middle of Summer under the bright direct sunlight :)  This fun couple wanted to shoot their maternity session in the vineyards where they were married - what a sweet idea! 

The property at Raffaldini Vineyards was just gorgeous - the weather wasn't too hot, there was a breeze, and their session turned out beautiful!

Ellie is Two! { child photographers in winston-salem }

Is Ellie really two already?  It really feels like we shot her newborn session only a couple of months ago (you might remember it here). 

Talk about giggly and chatty - she's grown up SO much in the past couple of months!  When we saw her at our Mommy and Me minis, she was still pretty quiet.  She's developed her vocabulary and she's got the sweetest personality!  And, funny - she will not take a piece of candy from us to eat, but she will hold her mouth open for us to feed it to her in-between shots, haha!  Independent, yes - Ellie would not insist on anything other than blowing the bubbles all by herself!  Of course she had to taste them, too :)
